We are an independent affordable luxury jewellery brand in Hong Kong. The entire collection of jewellery centres around bicolour tourmalines, while diamonds are often just the supporting pieces. Design is minimalistic, which makes our items perfect for everyday wear.
We specialize in a natural, non-mainstream, coloured gemstone called tourmaline. The name "Splitting colours" originated from the fact that the entire collection of our branded jewellery centres around bi-colour tourmalines, while diamonds are often just the supporting pieces. Design is minimalistic, which makes our items perfect for everyday wear. Our brand caters to individuals who are not afraid to take calculated risks. As they take an independent outlook to life, they are not defined by the mainstream and are bold to take on creative possibilities beyond the “boundaries”.

Meet Vincee Yip, Our Founder & Chief Product Officer
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Vincee graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Mathematics and Statistics.
Prior to her professional pursuit of gemmology and the founding of Splitting Colours Jewellery, Vincee had spent over a decade in quantitative marketing research.

What inspires you?
Having resided in the San Francisco Bay Area, Hong Kong, Frankfurt and Shanghai, Vincee loves travel and enjoys the outdoors. She has trekked and hiked in Nepal, Bhutan, Peru and Australia, chased the Northern Lights in Tromsø, visited Uyuni in Bolivia, camped in a yurt in Inner Mongolia, feasted on alpacas and cuys in Cusco City, swam with the pigs in Exuma, gone island-hopping by bike around Seto Inland Sea, snowboarding in Hokkaido, walked around Central Havana, attended weddings in Mumbai and New Delhi, experienced Amsterdam, listened to the sea breeze in coastal Croatia, caught the sunrise in a hot air balloon ride in Luxor, got married in a chapel over the waters…. Vincee is also a PADI-certified Advanced Open Water scuba diver…

What happens next?
Currently, Vincee is primarily responsible for product and brand development for Splitting Colours Jewellery. She is the dedicated curator of every single gemstone in our store and the heart and mind behind every bespoke and creative project entrusted to her by our clients.
