When Ochini presented her fabric flower bouquets at a wedding showcase she was surprised to find that the hair accessories she presented as a side interest provoked a lot of attention from onlookers. From that day on, her focus was redirected into headwear.​ Most of Ochini's inspiration derives from her love for floral patterns and print, merging western techniques with eastern majestic and mystical elements.

The design of her collection is inspired by Middle Eastern Architecture. Decorations make frequent use of geometric patterns and are often built on combinations of repeated squares and circles which may be overlapped and interlaced to form intricate and complex patterns including a wide variety of tiles. Laser-etched on sustainable wood painted and varnished with organic material.

The name An Nead means ‘the nest’ in Gaelic.
