Tell us a little about you and your brand. Who are you, and what products do you design for your brand?
The design is in the idea itself to create an organic makeup brand based on bamboo both inside and outside. I design all the casings, the refillable systems as well as the formulations.
How and when did you start your beauty brand?
Zao started 10 years ago and it was following 2 previous makeup brands (also organic certified) in a previous company (my first one). When I designed Zao, I just wanted it to be more successful, and more consistent.
What are your sources of inspiration?
My inspiration: I would love Zao to inspire women to use more natural and more consistent makeup in their everyday beauty routine.
How would you describe your design/product concept?
Beautiful and consistent.
Why do you do what you do? What do you like about your job?
I think creating products that allow consumers to love themselves more, through more natural beauty is truly awesome. I love my everyday freedom!
Who is the target audience for your products?
All women who are looking for clean beauty in makeup but also women who intend to be part of a better world.

What is your dream project? If there are no limitations, what would you like to create?
I would love to totally succeed to eliminate plastics in Zao makeup brand.
What skills are necessary to be a successful creator? Do you have any tips for aspiring artists who want to start their own accessory/ beauty/ art brand?
I don’t pretend, of course, to be an artist. When I started 20 years ago, I was just convinced that to allow people to consume cleaner products, it was necessary to offer them the possibility to have these products on the market. We all know the way we purchase will shape the world (is already shaping it). So I wanted to consider the women ready for that change. And all the designs I’ve made were focused on this idea.
