Tell us a little about you and your brand. Who are you, and what products do you design for your brand?


My name is Rachel Kay and I created RACHELITA in the summer of 2021 to revive ageing and lifeless skin through efficient, effective skincare. Envisioned in Italy, RACHELITA was created when I lived there for over two years. During this period, I travelled all over the world, and although I was done suffering from acne, my skin looked dull. While I was living with a dermatologist there, I discovered raw cosmetic ingredient suppliers and found an array of high-quality ingredients that the market was ignoring at the time. I began experimenting with my own product formulations. After ten years in the making, through trial and error, and many adventures in between, my dream is now a reality, and I manufacture every product in California.



What are your sources of inspiration?


RACHELITA models itself after the Italian philosophy of cooking by purposefully selecting quality ingredients with a function to create not only a pleasurable experience with every drop but nourishment for your skin from within. We envision your skin like a flower, and we want it to flourish in any environment through our product, THE WATER.


How would you describe your design/product concept?


Our multifaceted product, THE WATER, minimalizes your skincare routine and supports a healthy skin microbiome through hydration that in turn illuminates your skin from within.



Who is the target audience for your products?


Our product is for those skintellectuals on the go who need a reliable product that will work anywhere. They may be travelling on a long flight, sunbathing on the beach, or battling air pollution in the city. They need a multifaceted product that can adapt their skin to any environment, and that is what THE WATER does. It gives your skin life whenever and wherever.


We would love to hear about your studio/making time and how you connect with your clients.


We love hearing from our customers and receiving feedback on how THE WATER treats their skin. We found that it not only illuminates and hydrates the skin barrier, but can help rid acne and ingrown hairs. It is truly a multifaceted product and we are happy to hear how well it works for everyone.



Do you have a muse? Who is he/she? Why is he/she your muse?


I guess you could say travelling is my muse. I love exploring this beautiful world and trying to take care of it as much as I can. With the pandemic, we had to put a lot of things into perspective. You want to enjoy life as much as you can, but also not contribute to this planet's destruction by doing so. I will try to limit my travels to only meaningful trips where I can consciously give back to the local community as I take a new experience away from me. It's all about balance.



What is your dream project? If there are no limitations, what would you like to create?


I'm excited to create our next formula that will specifically target hyperpigmentation and dark spots. It will feature AHAs, vitamin C, axsthanian, and other powerful ingredients, but will do so in a gentle way so as not to disrupt the skin microbiome.
